Steel Framed Homes in Perth - What's the difference?
They're Value For Money | Faster Builds | Fire Protection | Termite Proof | 100% recyclable
Perth has had a love affair with double brick homes but steel frame homes offer many advantages. We have built a number of coastal steel framed homes throughout Perth and throughout the state and can attest to the many benefits of building in this way.
Using a steel frame is light and strong: it will not burn; it is termite, borer, and fungus-proof; and it will not shrink or warp. It is environmentally responsible, low on life cycle energy usage, and recyclable.
Building a steel framed home is much more cost effective in rural areas as all the materials are pre-cut and easily transported for fast construction. This can save tens of thousands of dollars over brick. Remember, there is no compromise with energy efficiency between a steel framed home and double brick and tile home.
Our Margaret River property development of 3 x 230 square metre properties was built using steel frames. Perfect for building partially overhanging a beautiful lake environment. These units will be perfect for short stay accommodation and as holiday homes for the owners. [[See the gallery images here]].
Steel features one of the highest strength to weight ratio of any conventional building product and is fantastic for difficult blocks
Still not sure? - You don't have to compromise on your design, one thing that we get asked about steel framed homes is "will we lose any design capability if we choose to go with steel framed homes" - the answer is not at all! if anything steel framed homes can have more flexibility when it comes to design!
Steel is incredibly accurate with tolerances in the 10ths of a millimetre, not in 10s of millimetres. Your window and door openings will be precisely placed, perfectly square (or perfectly tapered depending on your design) meaning fitting will be faster and easier.
